The technological advances of recent years in the concentrate flotation stage represent a strategic opportunity for Antofagasta Minerals. These innovations not only have the potential to impact the flotation stage, but could also increase production, reduce energy consumption, recover metals from coarser or finer particles and generate more stable tailings, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of the entire production chain. These technologies represent a key opportunity for CEN and MLP, so it is essential to carry out an objective technical/economic evaluation of their impact on the business and their implementation.

• Solutions that do not significantly increase production of valuable metals (no impact on treatment or recovery).
• Solutions that target reagent changes without technical justification to support the novelty level of the solution and the increase in production.
• Consulting, advisory and engineering study solutions.
• Instrumentation associated to a single data, without the technical support that justifies the impact generation.

Companies, startups, institutes, research centers or other legally constituted entities, in accordance with the current legislation of their country of origin. Natural persons are excluded in this call. We extend the invitation to promote collaboration and complement technological and/or entrepreneurial capabilities between companies, startups or other entities. For teams and consortia, the responsible institution must be clearly identified in the application.

Explore and identify innovative technological solutions to increase treatment capacity and/or maximize the recovery of valuable metals.

• Innovative degree of the solution for the industry.
• Productive impact (increased treatment, increased recovery, reduced energy consumption, others).
• Maturity level of the solution ≥ 5, validation in a relevant environment.
• The solutions must be backed up with technical support indicating how the technology achieves the productive impact on the process.
