Challenge requested by Minera Escondida, Concentrator Plant, Laguna Seca.
The oversize mineral (pebbles) from the SAG mill, has a high content of clays, moisture and fine mineral, which agglomerates and adheres to the walls of the chute, causing the chute transfer section to decrease and, therefore, cleaning work must be done to maintain the processing capacity.
It occurs when the clay content, moisture and/or fine particle size of the material is high.
Unscheduled cleaning of the transfer chutes must be carried out, generating in some cases line stoppage and loss of productivity, reducing the processing capacity from 1000 to 400 ton/h. Cleaning tasks imply exposure of workers to high particulate matter pollution environments and exposure to safety risks associated with the execution of the task.

No technologies have been tested.
