Currently, the inspections carried out at the crushing plant of Codelco’s Gabriela Mistral Division require exposure of workers in areas of high dust in suspension. These inspections are carried out in both open and closed sectors of the plant, including under the stockpile, where the secondary belts are located.

The problem occurs 4 times per shift when workers must enter the plant to perform physical inspections.

Workers are exposed to pollution due to suspended dust in areas where they must perform visual inspections.

It is not solved.

They have not been previously tested.

Identify technologies that allow remote visual inspections in the crushing plant, avoiding exposure of workers to high dust in suspension conditions. Proven industrial-scale technologies are required that meet the requirement of maintaining vision through the dust in suspension in the crushing plant.

1. Solution must allow remote visual monitoring of the entire crushing plant area.

2. Solution must have heavy duty features.

3. Solution with maturity level TRL 7 or higher (at least with successful tests in real environment).

4. Solution should be self-cleaning.
