For three days, executives from the Expande program touched base with representatives from the Peruvian mining industry in order to reveal and disseminate the scope of the program and what Chilean technology has to offer by three local suppliers.
Between September 12 and 15, the Open Innovation Program on Mining, Expande took part, in cooperation with ProChile, in the seventh version of Expomina, the most important mining get-together in Peru.
Over three days, Enrique Molina, Executive Director of Expande and Andres Mitnik, Business Director of Expande, had the opportunity to divulge the day-to-day work and impact of the program and explore new opportunities of collaboration with likeminded companies and organizations.
Together with them, there were three suppliers, finalists in the METStech Passport program: ETT, InexLink and Vizutire, who were able to spread their technician offer to companies and representatives in the Peruvian mining ecosystem.
For Andres Mitnik, “the Peruvian mining industry has a lesser degree of technological insertion than their Chilean counterparty, so this get-together was an excellent opportunity for our suppliers to open doors to a new market”.
This initiative is in addition to the work that has been carried out by the Expande program with regard to its internationalization of local suppliers and which is complemented with others such as the “Digital Transformation Challenge”, a program of tech immersion addressed to startups and/or companies with a focus on digital transformation, organized by Expande and with the Representation for South America of the Federal State of Bavaria.
